Ann Arbor schools were well represented on the Michigan High School Tennis Coaches Association All-State teams, with six individuals from Pioneer, Huron and Greenhills and six doubles flights being selected for first-team or honorable mention honors.

The MHSTeCA also recognized Pioneer coach Tom Pullen as a one of 10 Division 1 regional coaches of the year.

Huron freshman Jack Petersen and junior Kevin Chang were first team singles selections in Division 1 as were Pioneer junior Garrett Halpert and senior Matt Hing.

Chang and Halpert both competed at No. 1 singles. Chang advanced to the second round of the state finals while Halpert was a quarterfinalist. Petersen and Hing competed at No. 2 singles. Petersen advanced to the second round of the state tournament, while Hing was a semifinalist.

Pioneer's No. 1 doubles state championship team of Hunter St. Pierre and Taylor Zdanowski and Huron's No.1 team of Erik Ljungman and Jonathan Zhou - themselves state quarterfinalists - were also Division 1 first team selections.

Greenhills - Division 4 state champions for the third consecutive year - had No. 1 singles player John Adams on the first team as well its No. 1 and No. 2 doubles teams AJ Gay and Ben Froehlich, and David Goldfarb and Shamik Ganguly.

Gay and Froehlich were state semifinalist at No. 1 doubles, while Goldfarb and Ganguly were champions of the No. 2 flight.
