Central Academy boys basketball tops Washtenaw Christian; Milan girls fall to Onsted and more Thursday results

By AnnArbor.com Staff

The last time the Central Academy boys basketball faced Washtenaw Christian, Sami Shalabi's 28 points carried the Falcons to victory.

The Falcons didn't call on Shalabi for such a scoring outburst this time around in their 63-43 win over the Wildcats Thursday in Saline. Shalabi scored a team-high 13 in a game where 10 Falcons contributed to the scoring.

"A lot of people put in effort and worked together," said Rushdi Issa, whose team took a 35-14 lead at halftime. Luay Shalabi chipped in 11 points and Fadi Issa and Mohammed Issa added nine apiece. "We started out strong and everything clicked."
