But River Rat coach Reese Richardson said freshman forward Casie Ammerman "really stole the show" with three goals.

Richardson said he expected solid play from Boyer, McCallister and the other veteran River Rat (2-1) players. The underclassmen, however, have been similarly impressive.
"I think what's been the key to our success has been the solid performance from the younger players on our team," he said. "We're really starting to play with a certain level of consistency that will only continue to get better."
