"We had a hard time recovering from those penalties," said Huron coach Joe Koengeter. "They did a very good job slowing the game down and possessing the ball."

MORE BOYS LACROSSE
Father Gabriel Richard 12, Flint Powers Catholic 7: Fighting Irish brothers Matt and Adam Kolevar teamed up for nine goals (5 and 4, respectively), leading Gabriel Richard to a home win in the Catholic League Tournament semifinals. "Our offense played phenomenal," said Richard (10-6, 2-2) coach Jim Carl, whose team led 8-4 at halftime. Notably, Bob Jones was given the game ball for winning 12 faceoffs against Powers. Before Wednesday, the Irish had never won a faceoff against the Chargers. The Irish will play Notre Dame Prep, which has beaten them twice this season, in the Catholic League finals. (Boxscore)

BOYS GOLF
Saline 157, Huron 158: The Hornets (7-3 SEC) enjoyed an
ever-so-slight home course advantage at Brookside Golf Course in
Saline. "It's a tricky course, it was very wet today," said Huron coach
Dee Drake. "My top guys, I don't think they pulled their drivers out
more than once." Peter Spittler shot a low round, 1-over-par 37 for the
Hornets and Keith Long shot a 39. Max Ammerman and Rob Aldrich each shot
38s to lead the River Rats (7-3 SEC). (Results)
Pioneer 160, Temperance Bedford 166: Pioneer got quadruple 40s out of Nolan Maezes, Davis Ransdell, Zach Averill and Eric Miller at the University of Michigan Golf Course in very different ways. Miller was four over after three holes and parred out, Davis had five putts lip out, Averill had a 39 but took a penalty stroke after the wind rolled his ball into his putter, and Maezes played steady. The win puts Pioneer atop the SEC standings with a perfect 10-0 record. (Results)
Skyline 166, Monroe 168: The Eagles' Josh Bourque shot a 40, pacing Skyline to a two-stroke Southeastern Conference win on its home course, Lake Forest Golf Club. Tying Bourque for the medalist spot was Monroe's Nate Miller. Rounding out Skyline's scoring were Ian Duvall (41), Tim Huppenbauer (42) and J.R. Duvall (43). (Results)
Milan 179, Monroe St. Mary's Catholic Central 183: Freshman Lester Lancaster and senior Joel Dotson led Milan with a pair of 43s at Milan Golf and Country Club. "Lester and Joel have been very consistent this season and usually come in within a stroke or two of each other," said Milan coach Claire Neff. "The scores were a little higher than we were expecting, but between the weather and our schedule, we have not played on our home course in almost two weeks. The rain made the course play a little longer, and we had a hard time trusting the speed of the greens." Matt Vanisacken led the way for St. Mary's with a 44. (Results)
Manchester 174, Hanover-Horton 180: Nik Stetler led the way for the Flying Dutchmen (11-3 Cascades Conference) with a four-over 40 at Rustic Glen Golf Course in Saline. Trevor Smith (43), Alex Wallace (44) and Eric Lobbestael (47) also scored for Manchester in the league victory. (Results)

Shanna Cooper had the most convincing win (6-0, 6-1) at No. 4 singles. (Boxscore)
