Losing's no fun, even if you're Stephen Ross
The Miami Dolphins are 0-6 and their owner, University of Michigan alum Stephen Ross, isn't enjoying the losing or the rumors that go along with a winless team, the Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Ross is dealing with rumors that he's looking for a replacement for Dolphins coach Tony Sparano and rumors that the Dolphins don't mind the losing because it would put them in contention for getting the No. 1 draft pick race for Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck.
"Did I learn from the Harbaugh thing last winter?" Ross said of his meeting with then-Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh. "Yeah, that's why I'm not talking to anyone. No one. I don't have my head in the sand, but I'm hoping Tony and the team wins."
Ross, whose name is on the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at Michigan, also has a ring tone that plays "The Victors," the Sun-Sentinel notes.
