Michigan men's tennis team edges Hawaii; Concordia baseball team tops Morningside
The No. 8-ranked Michigan men's tennis team put a bow on its spring break trip with a 4-3 victory over Hawaii Thursday at the University of Hawaii Tennis Center in Honolulu.
The Wolverines have won three in a row, all road matches, to improve to 7-3 on the season.
Michigan's singles players Evan King, Justin Rossi and Chris Cha secured wins for U-M. King's win came in the toughest fashion. He dropped the opening set before climbing back for a 5-7, 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles.
Meanwhile, the doubles won two of three to earn the doubles point.
BASEBALL Concordia University 7, Morningside College 5: Third baseman Aaron Ball went 2-for-3 and had three RBIs for the Cardinals in their nine-inning win. Pitchers Brad Roettger and Kyle Hoogewind struck out a combined seven.
