Second baseman, starting pitcher high on Tigers' shopping list

The Detroit Tigers are among the favorites to content for a World Series title in 2012, but that doesn't mean they have a short shopping list for the off-season.
MLive.com Tigers beat writer Chris Iott breaks down the biggest needs on the Tigers' list, and it starts with second base and includes the need/wish for another starting pitcher, too. The problem, Iott writes, is that it's a weak market this year.
The free-agent market opens at 12:01 Thursday.

tigers definitely need to make some changes. starting pitching is not a need I believe they are set. they need to unload Ordonez and Inge. Ordonez's skills are declining and is very costly and they have several outstanding young outfielders now. Iinge even though a great competitor has little offense and is not consistence or maybe could use as a backup. yes, a backup catcher is a need. But, a good hitting second baseman is gonna be hard to find. Maybe they can use Ordonez's money to acquire
