Big Ten football gets bland recruiting reviews; Kansas basketball escapes Colorado

Don't despair, Big Ten football fans.

Just because the conference seemingly compiled so-so recruiting classes, according to The Wall Street Journal, doesn't mean there is cause for long-term concern.

It looks like a one-year blip that won't ultimately affect the on-field product, Darren Everson writes.

The graphic at the end of his story has some interesting info on recent national championship winners and the recruiting classes that comprised the winning teams.

Elsewhere, Florida seems to have signed the best recruiting class of any school this year, and perhaps the best defensive class ever, according to the Gainesville Sun.

Orlando Sentinel columnist Mike Bianchi is wondering if anyone actually had a bad class? He's tired of the annual "pollyanna pablum pouring over us like a sugarcoated tsunami" of slap-happy recruiting coverage.

Remember Tyrelle Pryor was a 5 star recruit (we didn't get any of those) and he hasn't exactly set the world on fire." Go back to being a Buckeye fun. If you don't know the FACTS don't post. Michigan did get a 5 star Recruit. 2010 Michigan commits 27 signed | 2 ESPN 150 signed Demar Dorsey ( ESPN has him a 5 star Recruit)
