Plymouth's Brennen Beyer commits to Michigan football program

By Dave Birkett

The Michigan football team received its fourth verbal commitment for 2011 when Plymouth defensive end Brennen Beyer pledged to the Wolverines on Thursday, Rivals.com and Scout.com reported.

Beyer, an occasional visitor to practice this spring, also had offers from Notre Dame and Michigan State among others.

Previously, Michigan had non-binding commitments from defensive backs Greg Brown and Delonte Hollowell and receiver Shawn Conway.

The best thing here is, this kid asked and was allowed to come to portions of a few spring practices this year. Attribute the great leadership and personal relationship Mr. Rodriguez has with his players, and his family values, to this kid committing early. Look for many more.

With the beatiful weather thursday,I hoped that it would be like last year. Now I hear 50 degrees and rain? I honestly believe that the great weather for last years spring game, theND game and especially the OSU game,.helped mightily in getting all those late recruits from down south. After last years spring game we got two of out best recruits Hopkins and Marvin Robinson.

Very nice, and many more to come... these recruits aren't going to listen to any hogwash from opposing coaches, media, etc.... all they need to do is see the U... this week over 75 high school students coming from all over US to see spring game (most on non-official trip), look for much interest and signings after they see the best college football school in America (Forbes magazine Feb. 2010).

there is NO WAY that this could be true. why would a kid commit to Michigan w/ RR as the coach? he has ruined the tradition, brought shame on the university, embarrassed all the alumni, caused a division between the fan base, practices his players too much, doesn't have the integrity of Lloyd Carr, has no family values, runs an offense that won't work in the Big 10, doesn't recruit and defensive players, won't make it to a bowl game, will get fired after the season, and IS NOT A MICHIGAN MAN! Mr. Beyer, RR, Dave Brandon, and the university MUST know something that the negative posters, the haters, dave birkett, espn, and the free press don't. GO FIGURE.... WELCOME BRENNEN enjoy playing and winning w/ RR. RR is restocking the cupboard and despite the rich alumni and boosters that are trying to get him fired, he will bring U of M into the modern era of football and will make us all proud to be wolverine fans.

This is fantastic news, and great support for UM FB, despite all controversy.
