Former Michigan QB Chad Henne reacts to training camp boos: 'Deep down inside, it does hurt'
Former Michigan quarterback Chad Henne has not been well received by Miami Dolphins fans in the early days of NFL training camp. After being booed by fans and taunted by chants of "we want Orton" -- in reference to Denver quarterback Kyle Orton -- at an open practice earlier in the week, Henne responded to the criticism on Thursday.
"Deep down inside, it does hurt," Henne told reporters.
The Dolphins have been reported to have been in talks with the Broncos over a trade for Orton, but nothing has come of the conversations.
Dolphins coach Tony Sparano defended Henne, the presumed starter, saying those jeers "really make me sick."
"I'm here to make myself better, help the team, uh, be a better team," Henne went on to say.
Miami Herald Dolphins reporter Jeff Darlington posted audio of Henne's interview. Listen here.

Chad Henne was a GREAT Michigan Wolverine QB. That victory over Florida and Tebow in that bowl game was a classic UM football moment. They were double digit underdogs...NOBODY was picking Michigan to beat the Gators (except me...my quote was " don't expect Lloyd and those seniors to roll over"...) and they straight up beat them in their own back yard. Great game. Dolphins fans probably hold it against Henne. The "fans" in Miami are idiots. Hope Henne ends up somewhere he will be supported and appreciated as he deserves. Hang in there Chad. Go Blue!!!

May be true, but foolish of Henne to admit it. This will only make it worse for him.

Chads too good for those lousy miami dolphins and their fans anyway. Joke of a professional football team. Find your way up to foxborough and join another michigan man on the pats when you can Chad. Theyll make you into a quarterback.

I don't know what the future holds for Chad Henne, but wherever you go, Chad, you have at least one fan! (Unless whatever team you are playing on is playing the Lions, in which case all bets are off, lol)
