Ohio fans may not like Michigan football, but they can't use their license plate to signal that

It's no surprise that vanity license plates with profanity are forbidden in Ohio. Also on the list? Anything that suggests hatred for the University of Michigan.

License plates such as HATEMI and KILBLU are among the many banned by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles, The Columbus Dispatch reports today.

“The beginning of football season is when people will start ordering their hate-Michigan plates,” said Jamie Bryan, assistant registrar for the bureau, The Columbus Dispatch reported.
