Running back Kevin Smith is back with the Detroit Lions
Welcome back, Kevin Smith.
The Detroit Lions, in need of another running back while Jahvid Best recovers from a concussion, agreed to terms with Smith, according to ProFootballTalk.com.
The Lions drafted Smith in the third round in 2008 and he played 16 games and rushed for 976 yards and eight touchdowns as a rookie. He rushed for 747 yards in 13 games in 2009 and played just six games last season while limited by a knee injury, and he rushed for 133 yards.
Smith posted Monday about his return on Twitter, saying, "It feels Good to be back with the lions. Want to thank the front office and coaches for this humbling opportunity."
