We are introducing two elements to the site today: a new platform for auto coverage and advertising, and a new community page devoted to news, sports and community events in Dexter.

Our new Auto section features local and statewide news about the auto industry, led by coverage from veteran auto writer Ronald Ahrens. Today, he reports on the Progressive Automotive X Prize competition taking place at Michigan International Speedway.

We also offer tips from our marketing partners on how to buy a car and how to properly maintain the vehicle you already own. In addition to news, the new platform features a page devoted to new and used car buying, and a page devoted to auto service. The platform includes an array of display ads, as well as links to search the inventory of new and used cars available through our online partner Mlive.

In addition, we are continuing to expand our coverage of the region around Ann Arbor by introducing a community page devoted to Dexter.

The new Dexter page is patterned after our other community pages, and brings you the latest news from Dexter, as well as coverage of high school sports, local schools, crime and community life.

It also includes a calendar of community events, a listing of homes for sale and links to local resources and services.
