Casa Bella Salon set to open on Ann Arbor's North Maple

By Lizzy Alfs

A hair, nails and massage spa is preparing to open on Ann Arbor’s North Maple Road, Concentrate Media reports.

The 785-square-foot Casa Bella Salon is opening at the Maple Miller Plaza, just north of Miller Road. Casa Bella will join two new tenants at the shopping center at 1522 N. Maple: Juicy Kitchen and El Harissa Market.

Salon owner Kaliah Wolf plans to donate 90 percent of the salon’s profits to her non-profit organization, Carons Crazy Corral. The nonprofit is a horse training facility that offers lessons to at-risk children. (Read more)

Wolf has hired three employees and is looking to hire a stylist, massage therapist and makeup artist, the report says.

I just had my nails done by this place and they were awful. The person was unfriendly and rushed through the process. My nails were tacky and not completely painted with polish. I drove straight to my usual place to get them redone.

Clients beware!!! Kaliah is the owner from Shear Style Salon/Kalis Kreative Nails that just shut down at 5100 jackson rd. If you google shear style you will find several terrible reviews & tons of groupon scams which is how they prey on unsuspecting clients & get them to come in... which I'm sure is why they changed their name and moved locations. Very poor sanitation, nonexistant customer service, fraud, lazy service quality, & a make-shift day care center a just a few of the gems that this business has to offer... I am truely embarrased for the businesses that have to share a parking lot with "Casa Bella"

Can anyone explain this: "Salon owner Kaliah Wolf plans to donate 90 percent of the salon's profits to her non-profit organization" ?

Best wishes! This is not the easiest business to kickoff with people very loyal to their service providers. Options are great to have though! There aren't that many full service salons in Ann Arbor, too bad two of them are already on this end of town.

Usual Suspect

Welcome to the neighborhood. Hopefully your addition and that of the Speedway on the corner will bring that corner up a bit. Oh, yeah, and whatever finally goes in the opposite corner, somewhere around 15 years from now.
