Bob Seger ticket price announced

By Bob Needham

Although Bob Seger's concert dates at the Palace of Auburn Hills have previously been announced for May 17 and 19, and tickets go on sale Saturday (with a presale starting Thursday), one critical detail has been missing: the price.

Palace Sports and Entertainment just announced it: $69 for all seats, plus service charges. There will be six-ticket limit per order.

So far, at least, the Palace is the closest the tour is coming to Ann Arbor, where the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer grew up and started his music career.

Tickets for both the May 17 and May 19 dates go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday via Ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster outlets, or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. However, a fan club presale for both shows begins at 10 a.m. Thursday; details can be found on Seger's tour page.

The tour starts Saturday in Toledo.

A recent poll on AnnArbor.com found Seger by far the favorite among the three Rock and Roll Hall of Fame acts with roots in Ann Arbor.

The $69 is way out of my entertainment budget. Guess I'll be be playing some classic rock 'n roll and cranking the volume.

Fees put that price over $80 per ticket... Journey/Foreigner tickets were $20 plus over $14 fees thanks to Ticketmaster...
