Mindy Kaling has joined the cast of "Five Year Engagement."

According to Variety.com, Mindy Kaling (who plays Kelly Kapoor on "The Office") has joined the cast for "Five Year Engagement," the Jason Segel/Emily Blunt romantic comedy that's now being shot in the Ann Arbor area.

Kaling is slated to play one of Rhys Ifans' graduate students.

In addition, "Engagement" producer Judd Apatow recently revealed, via Twitter, that "Saturday Night Live" and "30 Rock" star Chris Parnell will also appear in "Engagement," though no information about his role is available yet.

Lastly, Oscar-nominated Australian actress Jacki Weaver ("Animal Kingdom") was previously linked to the project, but info about her role has more recently become available via Moviehole.net and the IndieWire blog: Weaver will play Blunt and co-star Alison Brie's mother, while Jim Piddock ("Best in Show") will play Weaver's ex-husband (and Blunt and Brie's father).
