Citing its "spare, urban vibe and shareable dishes," The Detroit Free Press has named Ann Arbor's Mani Osteria as one of Metro Detroit's 10 best new restaurants.

Author Sylvia Rector recommends sharing an appetizer and following up with one of the restaurant's signature wood-fire pizzas, especially the Tartufo or red onion and pistachio pizzas.

Other restaurants honored include Diamond Jim Brady's Bistro Bar in Novi, Silver Spoon in Rochester Hills, and Fountain Bistro in Campus Martius Park in Detroit.

I'll definitely need to check this place out. Went by it on Sunday hoping for a afternoon lunch there, but it was closed.
