Food & Wine: Mani Osteria in Ann Arbor makes list of Best Pizza Places in the U.S.

Food & Wine has listed Ann Arbor's Mani Osteria as one of the best pizza places in the United States.

Food & Wine likes Ann Arbor's Mani Osteria. They really like it. After including the one-year-old restaurant in a list of Best New Pizza Places back in July, the magazine has come back to say that it's not just one of the best new pizza restaurants in the country. It's one of the best in the country, period.

The Food & Wine pizza roundup encompasses 47 pizza-focused restaurants in 15 states and Washington DC. Unsurprisingly, pizza meccas New York and Brooklyn top on the list with a combined 14 mentions. Possibly less expected is the strong showing from the San Francisco Bay Area, coming in second with 7 mentions.

Detroit's Supino Pizzeria in Eastern Market and regional chain Buddy's Pizza also made the cut.

Mani, located at 341 East Liberty St., was also recently lauded by Travel & Leisure, when the magazine listed the it as one of the 20 best Italian restaurants in the nation.
