Nickelback has some video fun with Detroit Lions halftime 'controversy'

The choice of the generic Canadian pop-rockers to play in city with Detroit's rich musical heritage led University of Michigan student Dennis Guttman to respond with a protest petition that caught fire online. Then, in another local connection, Ann Arbor native Mayer Hawthorne enlisted Rolling Stone's help to pitch himself as an alternative choice.
The NFL didn't budge, and Nickelback is set to play on Thursday. But the band has found some room to laugh at the whole situation with a video on the comedy website FunnyOrDie.com.

that's awesome. this canadian is happy. michigan people sometimes dislike canadians... and i can think of 3 reasons 1. the pipeline 2. granholm 3. canada wants a new bridge at windsor. michigan doesn't.
