IndieWire.com has a review of "The Five Year Engagement," a feature film comedy primarily filmed (and set in) Ann Arbor, following its screening at the Tribeca Film Festival. (As previously reported, the movie was the festival's opening film.)

The review—which gives the film a B+ grade—begins, "Funny, touching and occasionally dramatic, Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller’s charming “The Five Year Engagement” falls just short of the modern-day comedy classic category, and yet is deeply entertaining, genuinely amusing and satisfying in the way most shaggy-dog, two-hour-plus comedies are not. Bolstered by a hilarious supporting cast and two genuinely likable leads, the Judd Apatow-produced comedy may feel a little unkempt at times, but the picture has sweet and touching notes to go with the diverting silliness."

Other post-Tribeca-screening reviews include a similarly positive one from The Hollywood Reporter, and a more critical assessment from Variety.

The film stars Jason Segel, Emily Blunt, Mindy Kaling, Chris Pratt, Alison Brie, Chris Parnell, Brian Posehn, Rhys Ifans, and Kevin Hart, and it tells the story of one couple's complicated, repeatedly delayed trip down the aisle.

An advance local benefit screening of "Five Year," with the aim of raising money for 826michigan, happens tonight (April 20) at the Michigan Theater, and director Nick Stoller and producer Rodney Rothman will answer questions afterward. The film opens nationally in theaters April 27.
