Concert promoter LiveNation today announced the ticket price for the upcoming Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band Nov. 2 appearance at Eastern Michigan University: $73 for all seats. Service charges are additional.
LiveNation also announced an opening act, Frankie Ballard, and a start time, 7:30 p.m.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday, although a presale for members of Seger's fan club starts at 10 a.m. Thursday. Fan club details are on Seger's website.
Tickets will be available at emutix.com, Ticketmaster.com, and all Ticketmaster outlets. Ticketmaster currently lists the price of tickets as $69 plus a $13.50 service charge; LiveNation officials could not be reached today to clarify the discrepancy in ticket price. (Both today's announcement and the EMU website list the price as $73.) The service charge at emutix.com is $8.50 per ticket, plus a $1.50 per order mailing fee.

I heard back from LiveNation -- the $69 price is before the facility fee and paid parking fee are added. So $82.50 should be the total via Ticketmaster.

$86.50 per person is why I no longer go to concerts. Did see Journey and Foreigner at DTE for $20 though...

i agree, i love going to some of the local free concerts at Liberty Plaza and Campus Martius, the blues fest in Chicago, etc., and see great talent like Laith Al-Saadi, Jill Jack, The MacPodz, Paisley Fogg, etc. for free. I can't afford those prices anymore.

I know the blog here kinda reports things that folks already "know" about the region, but the article at this time is missing a big part of the 6-things-to-write-about-if-you-want-to-report-news: "when" has a time, but not a date, in the current revision of the blog posting.
