Wes Craven announces on Twitter that 'Scream 4' has wrapped
In the wee hours of Wednesday morning, film director Wes Craven posted to his Twitter account, "It's the end of the beginning, and the beginning of the end... That's a wrap on @Scream4!"
The much-anticipated horror movie sequel was shot in Dearborn, Northville, Livonia and Ann Arbor (where its production office was also housed); and shooting on the film got under way at the end of June. The Internet Movie Data Base lists an opening date of April 15, 2011.
Original "Scream" stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette were part of the shoot, as were a new crew of next generation "Scream" stars: Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin and Nico Tortorella.
The last stretch of filming was largely concentrated in the Ann Arbor area —Â specifically, the Burns Park neighborhood.

LEK: I did request an interview with Arquette through the film's publicist, citing Arquette's many Tweets about his time spent in the area, but unfortunately, nothing came of it.

Have you tried to do an interview with David Arquette on his experiences in Michigan and filming here? I know that not everyone cares what he thinks, but he seemed to be a big fan of our city while he was here this summer and I'd be curious to hear why. A little publicity for the state or Ann Arbor can't hurt, especially if it attracts more films.
