The anticipated snow totals fell a bit short of originally anticipated, but it was enough to give most children a day off from school Friday giving them plenty of time for snowball fights, building snowmen and taking spills on the sledding hills around town.
There is a roller coaster forecast in store for the remainder of the week, but could the groundhog be right and we've seen the last of old man winter? Time will tell...
