Mr Edmonson handled Scarlett and now Roberto. Great choice in selecting this guy. I have seen him in action and let me tell you I really hope he sends the BOE scurrying because that Green character certainly was green. I also hope he starts doing something about Balas. Good choice for AAPS.

I didn't follow Kellie's blog due to other things and lack of interest on my part. However, if you're going to vote in the poll, you should read all the info.

Yes, I am surprised but delighted that the internal candidate wasn't chosen. I listened to him and he sounded like he was applying for a principal position, not a Superintendent. He also moved to Canton, not Ann Arbor and why?

Hey Momma G, you and I know many reasons why she shouldn't have been picked. Think your former boss, and make some connections with others like him. Why is he living in Canton? Because he wanted to be somewhere in the middle of an area where he was applying for superintendent jobs - called ANYWHERE! He has more EGO than anyone!

The fact that Faidley and Harris got votes tells you something about the parents in this district. Seriously. Can you say job-jumpers?

Osborne and Swift? Is this a consensus decision? Is the BOE just going through the motions by inviting two back? Is BOE divided? These two candidates couldn't be more different. I prefer Osborne to Swift. Before moving forward with final interviews, I wish the BOE would ask Ray & Associates to suggest 3 or 4 more candidates to interview and direct them to select candidates with particular qualifications. IMHO, the initial interviews felt like tire kicking, not informed shopping.

Interesting, @pag, do say more about Osborne.

having had 2 students in Osborne's current school district I say, beware. He is charming, bright and slick. He is hollow, arrogant and patronizing. The Board of Ed. rubber stamped everything he did.

because none of them are currently under contract. you are lucky martin left on his own. now you only have one former superintendent and one part-time temporary superintendent. imo, the good one got away.

I know a lot for people were following Kellie's live blog today, but if you happened to miss either day I would highly encourage you to give it a read before voting and/or commenting. She did a great job following the interviews and discussion regarding the choice of the finalists.

Brian Osborne is the best selection for AAPS, which means the BOE will select the other candidate.
