Camp Take Notice homeless community looking for private sponsor in search for permanent home

By Kelly Davenport

Camp Take Notice, a community of homeless people that's struggled to find a permanent location in the Ann Arbor area, is seeking a private land sponsor, reports the Michigan Daily.

The camp, which is currently set up near I-94 off Wagner Road, has moved several times over the years due to trespassing laws. The Daily reports that potential budget cuts to local nonprofit aid groups could also hurt the camp's residents.

i saw some folks unloading firewood at the Camp last week. My heart goes out to all of those having to live in tents this time of year. Surely in the Worlds Greatest Country we can find warm places for people to live?

Hey that owner of the condemned trailer park off Michigan Ave. in Ypsi should let these guys squat there. Maybe they could clean the place up as payment for a place to put their tents up?
