Dancer Road in Lima Township was reopened Tuesday afternoon by the Washtenaw County Road Commission after a section was closed for six days because of severe flooding following heavy rain.

On Aug. 10, the Road Commission closed the section of Dancer Road between Jackson Road and Easton Road. It was the first time in many years that neighbors could remember the road flooding in the area under I-94.

The Road Commission added several drain tiles under the road in an effort to avert future flooding in that section of the road.
