Three men ended up in the hospital after a New Year's Eve party brawl at an Ann Arbor warehouse, police said.

Ann Arbor police were first dispatched to a warehouse in the 1200 block of North Main Street for reports of a fight in the early morning hours Tuesday, said police Lt. Renee Bush.

"It appeared to be a warehouse party," Bush said.

There did not appear to be a fight in progress, however. The party was breaking up and people were leaving. No one came forward to provide any information, police said.

Then at 1:41 a.m., police received a call from St. Joseph Mercy Hospital regarding two men seeking treatment for lacerations. The men told police they were involved in a large fight inside a building located in the 1200 block of North Main Street that spilled outside.

One of the victims, an 18-year-old Ypsilanti man, said he was knocked to the ground and hit by multiple people, but he said he did not get a clear look at any of them. The man didn't realize until after he fled from the fight and joined two friends in a car that he'd been cut in the leg and near the clavicle. Bush said it's unknown what kind of implement caused the lacerations.

One of the man's friends, a 20-year-old Warren man, was also injured. Police said he had a 1-inch laceration to the shoulder area and laceration to the hand. One of the men drove them both to the hospital, where police were contacted.

A 22-year-old Ann Arbor man also reported injuries from the same warehouse party fight. He was not with the three other men, police said. Police were called to the University of Michigan Hospital emergency room where the man said he had been in a large fight. The man told police he was knocked to the ground and kicked several times by people he did not know.

When the brawl spilled outside, the man said he was struck several times in the face with a bottle. He suffered lacerations on both hands and bruising in the facial area. Police continue to investigate the fight. Bush said all three men have been released from the hospital.
