Another pizza delivery driver robbed in Ann Arbor area

Investigators reported a pizza delivery driver dropped off her delivery at an apartment in the Evergreen Apartments when two teenagers approached her. One of the boys asked for a menu and the driver reported she didn’t have one with her, police said.

At that moment, one of the boys reached into her vehicle and took the change purse and cell phone off of the front seat, according to police. The woman attempted to take the items back, but one of the teens kicked her in the leg and they both ran away from the area, police said.

The incident was reported at 10:02 p.m. Wednesday, police said. Despite bringing out a K-9 unit and other officers to search for the two men, police were not able to find them.

Four people have been arrested in the two other delivery driver robberies, one of which occurred in Ann Arbor and the other in Ypsilanti Township.

Anthony Demario Hugan, 18. and Jeffrey Howell, 17, are suspected of robbing a Bell’s Pizza delivery driver on April 12 and attempting to rob a Happy Wok delivery driver on April 17, according to police.

They were arrested on April 23 and have been lodged at the Washtenaw County Jail. Preliminary exams in their cases were scheduled for Thursday morning.

Avantis Parker, 20, and Sophie Peak, 17, were arrested for allegedly attempting to rob a pizza delivery driver on April 24 in Ypsilanti Township. Deputies arrested them not far away from the location where a robbery attempt took place.

Peak and Parker are no longer lodged at the county jail after posting bond, according to jail records. They face a preliminary examination in the case at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The suspects in the Pittsfield Township robbery Wednesday night were described as teenage black men, one wearing a white T-shirt and the other a green T-shirt. No other suspect information was available Thursday morning.
