Woman reports jogger exposing himself near Gallup Park

Ann Arbor police Lt. Renee Bush said the woman was jogging along a footpath between 10:15 and 10:30 a.m. Thursday near the dam heading toward Ann Arbor’s Gallup Park when the man got out of a dark SUV and jogged toward her.

The man passed the woman but she noticed him turn around and start running back toward her. As he neared her, the woman became aware that the man’s shorts were pulled down slightly and his genitals were plainly visible.

The woman reported he continued running on by her and did not approach her directly.

“He kept running past her and didn’t say anything or make any physical contact,” Bush said.

The woman told police he appeared to intentionally be showing his genitals.

The man is described as white, 6-feet tall, with short brown hair, clean shaven, about 35 years old, no shirt and wearing a heart monitor around his chest. Bush said the woman did not guess his weight but said he had “a little bit of a belly.”

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the man.

The area has been frequented throughout 2012 by an older man than the one seen on Thursday, who has been reportedly exposing himself to kayakers, runners and other people in the area.
