Former GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain speaking at University of Michigan next week

Cain is touring colleges throughout the country with a campaign called the College Truth Tour 2012 to discuss politics, the economy and unemployment and underemployment among college graduates.
He'll also visit Central Michigan University and Michigan State University on Sept. 25 and 26, respectively.
The U-M event will take place at 6 p.m. at the Power Center. The U-M student group Students for Healthcare Freedom is sponsoring the event.

Cain has visited Washtenaw County twice in the past year, with two stops at the Big Sky Diner in Ypsilanti Township. He was campaigning on the first visit and was supporting the campaign of former U.S. Rep. Pete Hoekstra on the second trip.

Senator Stabenow was a congressman from 97-2001, has been senator since 2001. US government debt on 1/2/97 was $5.3 trillion. Today it is $16.014 trillion. Senator Stabenow is against a cap on spending, is for baseline budgeting (this automaticly increases spending every year to compensate for inflation and population increase, means popiticians do not need to make choices), the Senate has not passed a budget in Fy 2011, 2012, or 2013. Thats awesome. I dig Herman. He's funny and has had fun with his campaign and after party as it were. Sure the whole runnin for potus thing was to sell books and I don't take many republicans seriously anymore but he's all right. Honestly he was the only cool guy in the whole debacle which was the republican presidential primary field.

Ross, And we expect the same from President Obama, but he can't even call the attacks on our Libyan Consulate for what it is- a terrorist attack. All the intelligence reports are indicating it was a coordinated terrorist attack and people in his administrations even says it, but Obama still claims it was a "spontaneous gathering" that just got out of hand because of a film on youtube. Yeah, people show up to demonstrations with rpg's, machine guns, and attack both sides and it's spontaneous. Obama doesn't have a clue.

Whatever you might think of his politics or ideas on government, I have enjoyed watching him on the Daily Show and on the Colbert Report. He is clearly capable of self-effacement which, given his gaffes in the past, should be easy for him. He could have a second career as a comedian (and I write that with no disrespect to him or comedians).

Apparently Cain feels the same way. He told the University of Florida crowd that if he was the nominee, he'd have a substantial lead over Obama. And, being this is the 'College Truth Tour', it must be the truth.

"I have been to 57 states" Obama "This was not a terrorist attack on our libyan consulate" Obama (Even though intelligence suggest otherwise, but he wouldn't know that because he doesn't go to his own intelligence meetings.

This guy got embarrassed in interviews. He had no answers to any of the questions asked and multiple times he answered with a prepared answer that was for a completely different question! That was when I stopped taking him seriously.

Northside - what is there not to be taken seriously about the man? be specific please instead of lobbing personal hand grenades at the man. Is it the color of his skin or the fact he doesn't toe the party line that bothers you most? This man has been more sucessful than you will ever dream of and he gets bashed for it by people like you.
