Huron River Drive closed near Wagner during police investigation

Huron River Drive west of Wagner Road in Scio Township has been closed while Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies conduct an investigation into a possible suicide.

Washtenaw County sheriff's spokesman Derrick Jackson said authorities have found a suicide note and a car and are searching for a victim.

Officers are turning cars away from Huron River Drive. At least two canine dog teams have been at the scene.

The location is on Huron River Drive west of Wagner near Tubbs Road.

Tracking dogs from the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti police departments also have been called to the scene.

Suicide is so sad; even harder to read about during the holidays. I really hope the person is found safe.
