Michigan legislators won't consider ban on pit bulls

By Paula Gardner

Pit bulls won't be regulated in Michigan as a result from a bill introduced this week in the state Legislature, the Detroit News reports.

The House Regulatory Reform Committee won't take up the bill, an official said today.

The sponsor sought to ban pit bull breeding for a year, with the proposal eventually requiring 3 types of bull terriers to be sterilized and outlawed.

It's been a local issue as Ypsilanti Township seeks to regulate breeding.

The township already requires owners of pit bulls to have their dogs sterilized.

I think it's pretty clear that when you train a dog to be vicious, they become vicious, regardless of breed. Ban Pitbulls and thugs will go back to Rottweilers. This has everything to do with the trash that train these dogs to be killers and nothing to do with Pit Bulls.

Silly silly silly. Maybe they should ban guns then because guns kill and injure people too.
