National Weather Service cautions motorists as snow moves into Ann Arbor area
The National Weather Service issued a special statement advising motorists to use caution on roads and freeways in the Ann Arbor area Tuesday evening as light to moderate snowfall spreads over the region.
The heaviest pockets of snow will reduce visibility to about a mile at times, the weather service said. Localized snowfall totals of about an inch are expected.
Forecasters said the snow would taper off to flurries after 7 p.m. and then end.
Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 25, but more snow is in the forecast Thursday evening, when the weather service says the Ann Arbor area could get 1 to 3 inches.
Tuesday night's expected snowfall comes on top of about 4 inches that fell in the Ann Arbor area Monday.
