According to the Summerfest website, the annual event will kick off with an arts and crafts show on Friday. The event also will feature a 5K walk and run on Saturday morning, a volleyball tournament, a fishing contest, a teen block party and live music.

For the adults in attendance, there will be a beer and wine tent open at 5 p.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. Saturday, as well as numerous local food vendors set up for festival-goers of all ages.

In addition to activities, there will be live music each night. The Dan Rafferty Band will be headlining Friday, followed the next night by 56 Daze, both beginning at 8 p.m. and going until the festival closes for the night. The two-day celebration also will feature several musical groups throughout the day on Saturday.

Volunteers for the 5K Walk/Run on Saturday still are needed as well. If you are interested in signing up or getting more information, click here.
