Washtenaw Community College faculty and staff to hold fundraiser for Japan tonight at The Yellow Barn

By Kyle Feldscher

Washtenaw Community College faculty and staff members will conduct a fundraising event for those affected by the tsunami and earthquakes in Japan at 6:30 p.m. tonight at The Yellow Barn, 417 W. Huron Street.

The event will feature live music from several bands and the sales of postcard packets, which each contain five postcards for $10. All proceeds from the sale of the postcards will be sent to organizations in Japan helping to rebuild homes, such as Habitat for Humanity Japan.

Other art works will be available for purchase at the event.

The cost to enter is $3 per person at the door.
