Police are still seeking (from left): Larry Hunter, LaShawn Covington and Marget Pittman.

Washtenaw County sheriff’s deputies are still looking for three individuals who have been sought since the fatal shooting of 30-year-old Jamar Gardner in Superior Township Saturday afternoon.

Larry Louis Hunter, 27, is accused of shooting Gardner. Marget Tracy Pittman, 35, and son LaShawn Antonio Covington, 18, are also being sought for questioning.

Sheriff’s spokesman Derrick Jackson said the three were seen driving away in a green sedan after the shooting. There also may have been a fourth person in the car, he said.

Police said the shooting resulted after a fist-fight between several people, including Gardner and Hunter, outside the Sycamore Meadows apartment complex in the 8700 block of MacArthur Boulevard. The motive is still unclear, Jackson said.

Anyone with information on the case or Hunter's whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at (734) 973-7711 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP.

My prayers go out to all families involved. This is a tragic situation and hopefully Larry Hunter will be found and tried for his crime. Negative comments will not help this situation at all. People who are familiar with him or his whereabouts need to speak up and assist in bringing closure to the Gardner family. If it were your family, wouldn't you want everyone to speak up if they knew ANYTHING no matter how big or small on the matter?? -REAL TALK

Superior Township? Hey annarbor.com, how come you can figure out where Superior Township is when there's a crime, but not when, say, something good happens. Like when a convention is going to come to Washtenaw Community College, which is in, yes, you guessed it, in a township. Not in Ann Arbor like your story said.

I highly doubt she willingly drove this person. She probably feared for her life and had no choice but to drive. I know her and I can't imagine she would ever take off and leave her children to fend for themselves.
