Big Ten the nation's most exciting conference?; Michigan football team close to landing Leilon Willingham, Frank Clark and more

By Kaleb Roedel

It's no secret that the Michigan football team, steered by dual-threat quarterback Denard Robinson, showed flashes of excitement last season.

In fact, according to Thuuz, a company that measures the excitement of sporting events, the Wolverines were ranked the fourth most exciting team in college football, reported ESPN.com's Adam Rittenberg. Auburn was tabbed first in the findings.

Additionally, the Big Ten was labeled as the nation's most exciting conference.

I'm certainly glad that Coach Hoke is being widely recognized for his quick start. Just think back to what we were thinking 2-3 weeks ago. A lot of ?s answered positively in a very short time. As for the Guy Before, lets remember that a few of these recruits were / are really his. I want to be among those who will remain civil toward Mr. Rodriguez and his family because they'll be staying here in Ann Arbor for at least the remainder of the school year. He and his family are human beings who came to Ann Arbor with bright hopes and I accept that he put in a lot of work under difficult conditions. He also handled all the criticisms with grace and good will (better than I would have done myself) - that alone speaks well of him. I'm also happy that I'm one of those who supported AD Dave Brandon throughout the whole process. So far at least, his decision making is proving to be just what the University and its football program need in the way of top level management. Good luck to all. Go Blue!

Kaleb, in the article on espn UAB was rated the # 1 most exciting team and Auburn # 2. Interesting that the # 1 "most exciting team" was 4-8, the # 3 Ga. Tech was 6-7 and the # 4 was 7-6.

The only people more upset than Theo about Rich Rod's departure aka crybaby is the Ohio State fans.

By the time signing day rolls around, Coach Hoke will have done more quality recruiting on the defensive side of the ball in 3 weeks than RichRod did in 3 years. You can feel the change happening folks. Our football program is getting back on course, despite the bleatings of a few sycophants. I can't wait for the season to start!

You know, like an empty backfield or 4 wide. The "I" formation, the full house, or the wishbone. It's PART of the offense. Please study the concept. We might have a quiz later. TiM Go Blue!

Excitement? That's a good one, Kaleb. Other than our one conference team (osu) which has adopted SEC principles (i.e. cheating, not making their kids go to class, etc), we are about as exciting as the soon-to-be-released DVD set: "John Navarre's Greatest Batted Down Passes". Our King, by the way, had us on course to truly compete with the big boys, but immaturity and impatience on the part of many folks cost us our chance to see this. To brighten things up, let's play a word game, shall we? P redictable R emedial O utdated S low E xcruciating T errible Let's hope this doesn't happen. Go Blue!

I think if we can get Willingham to commit to Michigan, along with Morgan and Jones already in the class, Michigan will go a long way toward fixing our problems at linebacker. Poor recruiting at LB has really hurt Michigan's defense over the last 5 years. Too many players that either weren't good, washed out, or transferred. We were forced to switch players from other positions, which seldom works well.

We are also in on the athletic kid from Ohio who is going to announce tonight! LB play will be back!

We are expected to get a commit from LB Antonio Poole today. Rivals 3-star/Scout 4-star. Had an in-home with the coaches yesterday and decided after the visit to announce his decision today. That's usually a very good sign!
