Fort Myers teammates have Michigan as a leader; Penn State might be without QB Rob Bolden and more

By Kaleb Roedel

The Michigan football team is hoping to add to its Floridian talent.

Two of the Wolverines' recruiting targets are South Fort Myers (Fla.) teammates, cornerback Dallas Crawford and wide receiver Sammy Watkins. Both prospects visited U-M for the Wolverines home contest against Iowa and list the Wolverines as a leader, writes Detroit Free Press Special Writer Josh Helmholdt.

It's no secret that Michigan is lacking depth at cornerback.

Writes Helmholdt, "Crawford has the athleticism and ball skills to potentially fill that void. He led the state of Florida with 10 interceptions as a junior, and has already recorded seven interceptions this season."

Getting both these guys (Crawford and Watkins) would be huge for Michigan. Although defense is still our biggest need, Watkins is a big-time receiver who will give us more talent on the outside. Now if we could just find another really good linebacker, defensive lineman or two, a big safety, and a kicker, we'll have a very good recruiting year.
