Nothing like a few misguided words by a college president to fuel an already-intense in-state rivalry.
But that's what Boise State president Bob Kustra did this week when, in an interview with a newspaper's editorial board, referred to the culture at Idaho as "nasty and inebriated"
While Kustra later admitted his words came out a bit more intense than he intended, one columnist believes the president's comments only add to the Boise State-Idaho feud even after the Broncos leave for the Mountain West Conference.
Heck, the whole thing has Idaho Gov. Butch Otter chiming in. Although he would like to see the rivalry continue in the future, he's remaining neutral in his loyalties.
