Seven Washtenaw County teams advance in girls basketball; Pioneer, Saline advance in boys hockey
Monday was a good day for Washtenaw County girls high school basketball teams.
Of the 11 local teams participating in first-round district playoff games, seven advanced to semifinals. Skyline's 58-42 loss to Brighton is the only instance where a Washtenaw County team lost to a squad from outside of the area.
Chelsea, Father Gabriel Richard and Manchester all beat Lenawee County teams, while Ypsilanti defeated Monroe.
