Saline beats Bedford, Chelsea beats Adrian and more Friday football results

Saline 28, Temperance Bedford 25

Trailing 13-12 at halftime, Saline (4-1, 2-1 SEC Red) took the lead with 10 unanswered points in the third quarter and held on for the win during an exciting fourth quarter.

Saline quarterback Tyler Palka led the Hornets, going 9 of 14 for 110 yards and a touchdown. Palka added 54 yards rushing on 13 carries, while Kevin Gross ran for 49 yards and two touchdowns.

Chelsea 24, Adrian 18
Story | Boxscore

Berkley Edwards ran for 208 yards and three touchdowns, including two fourth-quarter scores, to lead Chelsea (2-3, 2-1 SEC White) to an SEC White win on the road. Colton Platt added 61 yards on 12 carries.

Lincoln 42, Dexter 3

Dexter's Andy McWilliams had three interceptions and was eight of 29 for 108 yards. Tony Shiguango caught four passes for 63 yards. Joey Barlett had seven tackles, and Evan Burke had a field goal with two seconds left in the first half.

Ypsilanti Lincoln improved to 4-1, 2-1 SEC White and Dexter fell to 0-5, 0-3 SEC White.

Manchester 49, Hanover Horton 7

Jim Kurasz led the Manchester (4-1, 4-0 Cascades) rushing attack with 164 yards on seven carries and three touchdowns. Quarterback Ryan Stiles added two scores on six attempts for 86 yards. Stiles also was 2 for 8 passing for 27 yards.

The win keeps Manchester undefeated in the Cascades, setting up a critical match-up at second-place Grass Lake next week. Grass Lake (4-1, 3-1 Cascades) was a 35-8 winner against East Jackson on Friday.

Monroe 42, Huron 25

Monroe led 12-7 to end the first quarter and jumped ahead 26-7 at the half. Ann Arbor Huron (0-5, 0-3 SEC Red) quarterback Josh Jackson completed 21 of 31 passes for 285 yards, two touchdowns and a pick. Quavan Smith rushed for 44 yards on six carries.

Gabriel Richard 35, Livonia Clarenceville 7

Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard (4-1, 0-1 Catholic AA) won for the fourth time in five tries and beat Livonia Clarenceville for the third straight time. Steve Tracy's 65-yard punt return for a touchdown in the first half broke things open for Gabriel Richard, which returns to Catholic High School League action next week against Macomb Lutheran North.

Detroit Community 44, Willow Run 23

Willow Run (2-3, 1-3 Michigan Metro Athletic Conference) led by two late in the third, but gave up 30 straight to end the game. Freshman quarterback Marquis Smith completed 14 of 31 passes for 436 yards and rushed for 126 yards on 11 carries and two touchdowns.

Devere Pipkins had eight receptions for 176 yards, and teammate John Brooks added four receptions for 109 yards. Brandon Morgan returned a kickoff 76 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Tecumseh 35, Ypsilanti 13

Ypsilanti fell to 0-5, 0-3 in the SEC White.

Sand Creek 24, Whitmore Lake 12

Whitmore Lake fell to 1-4 on the season and 1-2 in the Tri-County Conference.

We have received confirmation from the Saline coaching staff that Friday's game will be at Monroe High School.

I believe the final score was Tecumseh 35, Ypsilanti 13. Ypsilanti scored its second touchdown right near the end of the game, missing the extra point.
