Listen, we know it’s raining out all day, and getting out to play sports might not be foremost on your mind.

But do us a favor and get in the sporting mood for a second.

Our second AnnArbor.com/Mlive.com “Team of the Week” poll has garnered a paltry 115 votes through two days of voting. We’re hoping that number goes up considerably between now and when the poll closes at noon Friday.

The Pioneer girls tennis team leads the way with 44 votes as of noon Wednesday, followed by Huron baseball with 33. Dexter boys golf, Lincoln girls track and Chelsea girls soccer are also choices in this week’s poll. And all are still in the running.

The winner of the poll will be the focus of our coverage for the week of April 15-20. That will include a package of stories and photos about the team.

This week’s team of the week is Skyline boys lacrosse. We stopped by Tuesday to catch the Eagles top Okemos in what their coach called “easily the biggest win in Skyline history.” And we’ll have plenty more about the Eagles Friday.

If you want that type of treatment for your team next week, get your vote in now.
