Lincoln football renaissance gets some state-wide notice

The Lincoln High School football team has turned some heads this season with its unbelievable turnaround, going from 0-9 a year ago to 6-3 and its first-ever playoff berth.

Longtime Detroit Free Press prep sports writer Mick McCabe has taken notice and made the Railsplitters' renaissance the lead subject of his playoff preview.

"A year ago this weekend, Ypsilanti Lincoln completed a perfect season -- perfectly awful," writes McCabe, detailing the struggles of the program from a year ago before discussing this year's turnaround.
