Lincoln's Sherrod Motley-Dismuke had 15 points with three 3-pointers and teammate Lazon Hicks had 12 points in the win.

"He's one of our better perimeter shooters," Lincoln coach Rich Marion said of Motley-Dismuke. "He logs a lot of minutes. Knocked some big shots down."

Ypsilanti Lincoln held a 10-4 lead after the first quarter, but Brighton outscored the Railsplitters 15-10 in the second quarter to cut the halftime deficit to 20-19.

"Had a tough time with their zone at first," Marion said. "We had OK looks, but we weren't knocking them down. Our ball movement got better, we started knocking them down."

Allen Park Inter-City Baptist 70, Greenhills 56
Story | Boxscore

Greenhills' Andrew Khouri scored a game-high 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

"He led the county in scoring last year," Greenhills coach Andrew Wright said. "He’s always good at scoring. He’s coming off of a back injury so he hasn’t been practicing. He's definitely a little rusty, but once he gets back to playing full speed and in a rhythm he should be even better than last year."

Arbor Prep 53, Riverview Gabriel Richard 49
Story | Boxscore

Adrian Harrison scored 16 points for Arbor Prep, and both Kody Freeman and Charles Pakala scored 11.

Danny Baum scored 22 points for Riverview Gabriel Richard, followed by Michael Schigelone with seven.

Arbor Prep played five freshmen and two sophomores, and its inexperience showed in the first quarter. However, it began moving the ball effectively in the second quarter, and the offense generated open shots.

Arbor Prep trailed 13-3 after the first quarter and 38-34 heading into the fourth, but used a 19-11 final frame to secure the season opening win.

“We started to really distribute the ball,” Arbor Prep coach Don Spencer said, “and things started clicking in the second quarter.”

Grass Lake 66, Whitmore Lake 56
Story | Boxscore

Whitmore Lake's Rory Judge led his team with 12 points and teammate Dylan St. Charles had 11 points, but Jared Lazarz and Grass Lakes were too much for the Trojans. Lazarz had 25 points, six assists and four steals

Grass Lake held a 27-19 halftime lead and outscored Whitmore Lake 24-15 in the third quarter.

The Arbor Prep score was originally reported in error. Arbor Prep won 53-49 over Riverview Gabriel Richard, not the other way around as originally reported. We apologize for the mistake. Congrats to the Gators.
