Michigan goalie Shawn Hunwick held out of Saturday's game, Adam Janecyk gets first career start

Michigan senior goaltender Shawn Hunwick will not play Saturday against Lake Superior State at Yost Ice Arena.

Hunwick woke up with a headache Saturday morning. Though he was cleared by trainers to play, coach Red Berenson made the decision to sit him for precautionary purposes.

Hunwick was pulled from Michigan's 4-2 win over the Lakers on Friday before the start of the third period after complaining of sickness in the locker room.

According to a Michigan spokesperson, Hunwick is considered a healthy scratch and would start if it were the playoffs.

Sophomore Adam Janecyk will start in Hunwick's place. It will be the first start of Janecyk's career and the fifth game in which he has seen action this season. He has given up five goals in just over 67 minutes of ice time with a .870 save percentage on the year.
