Michigan soccer coach Steve Burns discusses Friday's College Cup game
MGoBlue.com conducted a video interview with Michigan men's soccer coach Steve Burns as his team prepares for Friday night's College Cup game against Akron.
It's the first national semifinal appearance for the soccer program, which Burns has coached since it was a club team and through its elevation to varsity status in 2000.
In the interview, he says he's proud his team can continue the university's athletic tradition.
"Being a student here when Bo was a coach, having an office next to Red Berenson, being able to ask Carol Hutchins and Marcia Pankratz questions about when they went to their first Final Four ... We've got this incredible university, these great coaches here, and it means everything to me as an alumni to be able to continue to represent," he says.
