U-M, MSU athletic directors join forces to promote physical fitness

The teams from their respective football programs will be fierce opponents Saturday, but off the field, University of Michigan Athletic Director David Brandon and his Michigan State counterpart Mark Hollis have found a new way to work together.

They have agreed to help Gov. Rick Snyder promote physical fitness in Michigan, MLive reports.

The governor announced the appointment of both men as honorary co-chairmen of the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports Friday.

The organization promotes run/walks around the state, hands out fitness awards and endorses other events to encourage physical fitness.

I love it when the suits do their obligatory public service. They get lot's of PR and everyone feels happy. : )
