Glenn Robinson III gets 5-star status from ESPN.com, now Michigan basketball's highest-rated signee
Michigan basketball signee Glenn Robinson III just keeps on rising.
And now, he's officially a five-star prospect.
Robinson, a 6-foot-6 small forward from Lake Central High School in Saint John, Ind., was re-ranked to No. 18 overall Friday in ESPN.com's recruiting rankings for the 2012 class, moving up eight spots and becoming Michigan's highest-rated signee for next season in the process.

Robinson, who was rated as a three-star prospect by most outlets when he committed to Michigan in 2010, leads the Wolverines' current group of three signees in ESPN's rankings.
Mitch McGary, a 6-foot-10, 260-pound power forward from Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, N.H., is now rated as a four-star prospect by ESPN.com, and sits as the 27th-best prospect in America. McGary is still a five-star prospect according to both Rivals and Scout.com.
Nik Stauskas, a 6-foot-6 guard from St. Mark's School in Southborough, Mass., moved up three spots and is now No. 76 in ESPN's top 100, also good for four-star status.
With the latest adjustments, Michigan's current 2012 class is rated as the 11th-best in America by ESPN.com, four spots behind Michigan State.
Arizona currently has the top class, per ESPN, while Kentucky ranks at No. 2.
Michigan's current crop of players sits at three for next season, but could be on the rise soon. According to UMHoops.com, Northfield Mount Hermon (Mass.) point guard Spike Albrecht (an unranked prospect) visited the school this week.
In addition, NWItimes.com reported Thursday that Albrecht (an Indiana native) could commit to Michigan as early as Friday.
Multiple recruiting outlets have reported Michigan's interest in shooting guard Amedeo Della Valle from Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nev. The Italian-born, three-star prospect reportedly has plans to visit Michigan this month.
With the transfers of Evan Smotrycz, Carlton Brundidge and Colton Christian, Michigan currently has three scholarships available for 2012. And, if point guard Trey Burke opts for the NBA draft, a fourth could open up.
The spring signing period begins April 11.
