Suzy Merchant, Michigan State draw Bowling Green; WNIT next for Michigan women

The Michigan State women's basketball team is the fifth seed in the NCAA tournament and will face Bowling Green on Saturday, MLive.com reports.

Michigan State coach Suzy Merchant is 6-6 in her career against Bowling Green, most of those games coming while she was coach at Eastern Michigan, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Shameful fact is Michigan could have hired Suzy. She interviewed at Michigan before the State job became available but we passed on her. A move I think we are and will regret for a long time. 3 times this year we have learned this the hard way.
