Devin Gardner did it again, but this time, Denard Robinson joined him for the fun.

Gardner got his third straight start at quarterback for the Wolverines and the team improved to 3-0 with him under center defeating Iowa 42-17. It was the team's first win over Iowa since 2006.

Gardner had his best game of the season, completing 18-of-23 passes for 314 yards and three touchdowns and rushing for three touchdowns as well.

Gardner got some help from Robinson who started at tailback and lined up at quarterback and receiver as well, rushing for 98 yards on 13 carries and also catching two passes for 24 yards. As it turns out, the Wolverines needed him more at running back than anticipated with Fitz Toussaint leaving the game with a gruesome injury to his lower left leg.
